A Year of Stories: one question a week, one hardcover book

Give someone you love a year of questions and get their life story back as a hardcover book.

Every week for a year, your storyteller gets one question by email. What was your first job? How did you meet? What did your kitchen smell like growing up? They answer by talking into their phone or typing, whichever they like. No app to install, no phone calls unless they ask for them.

We tidy the answers into chapters they can read and correct along the way. At the end of the year we print everything as a 6 x 9 inch hardcover and ship it to you, or to them.

How it works

1. Order today. You get a printable gift card to hand over on the day, plus an invitation link to forward to your storyteller.
2. They say yes. Your storyteller opens the invitation, chooses email as the way to receive questions, and picks a day of the week. Invitations open December 1, 2026, and the first question arrives within a week of them accepting.
3. They talk, we write. One question a week, answered by voice note or typing. Chapters build up in a private page only they and you can see.
4. The book arrives. After 52 questions we lay out and print a hardcover, up to 200 pages, black-and-white interior with their photos. One copy is included. Extra copies are $59.

Our promise

Full refund, any time before the first question is sent, no questions asked. If your storyteller changes their mind after that, we refund the unused months in full. We will never phone or text your storyteller unless they ask us to.
